About Curious Corners
With a manufacturer in Japan she developed Yamato Indigo, a natural dye you stir into water. There is no stove, and none of the weeks a traditional vat needs to ferment. Cloth goes in pale and turns blue in the air. In New York she teaches that in small workshops, and she brings over vintage textiles from the same workshops she writes to.
