About Bat Flower Press

Bat Flower Press is a letterpress and papermaking studio located in New York’s Hudson Valley, founded by artist and printmaker Natalia Woodward. Natalia’s work is deeply rooted in sustainability; she creates her own paper using local recyclable materials, mat-board offcuts from museums like MoMA, and even farm waste.

The studio's mission is to bridge the gap between high art and functional objects. By focusing on botanical and zoological archives, Bat Flower Press transforms historic illustrations into tactile, modern stationery. Every card is a celebration of the "un-boring" details of the natural world, crafted with a deep respect for the environment and the heritage of printmaking.
