About James Paulius
Based in Brooklyn, New York, James Paulius believes that the best toys don't need batteries—they just need a little bit of imagination and a lot of gravity. A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, James designs objects that invite kids (and the young at heart) to become miniature architects, planners, and explorers of their own small worlds.
His celebrated Blockitecture series was born from a simple but powerful idea: that the things we play with should help us think about the world we live in. By trading standard squares for clever hexagonal shapes, James created a building system that mimics the way real cities grow and evolve.
