Rustic Japanese Ceramic Mortar
Made using the traditional kohiki technique, this Japanese ceramic mortar is as beautiful as it is functional. White slip is layered over dark clay before firing, creating a naturally layered glaze with soft white, grey, and pinkish gohonte hues. No two pieces are exactly alike.
